Thinking about the parts of the Great migration that sometimes don’t get talked about enough. Like moving from small towns to bigger (still Southern) cities, and not just South to North.
Both my grandmothers moved this way and stayed. This piece is about them, movement, about foodways & lland, and home being an altar you carry and build on at once.
